Size 1 clothes for summer

Hi guys,

Yes. It's me begging again.

Anyone got any clothes in size 1 and even size 2 that you no longer need. Sadly, I think the Crankmaster J has caught up with a few kids so you are probably still using the clothes.

Ah well. I shall have to go shopping. I'm getting better at it.

Thanks

try some of the second hand shops Mouse, we've bought some nice stuff there, although of course the selection will be random...

Gem is still wearing most of hers. I second the second hand shops. Many is the time I have been in to drop off a bag of clothes and walked out with more. At 50c to $1 a piece at Vinnies you can't lose. And you may be surprised by the quality of whats on offer too.

However, I will go through my stuff from Charlie and pick out any really 'boy' stuff that Gemma is unlikely to wear to show to you when you visit next.

Ta Mindy. The last load of boy stuff was terrific and he's still wearing most of that, but summers coming and he's still growing.

Sydenham Bonds Outlet is crap for babies stuff. I'll have to get out to the Wentworthville store which I know from experience is very useful.

And then more tiedye.

I shall try the op shops but they aren't very pram friendly around here.... like the 2nd hand bookshops (they are calling me!)

Alternatively get one of your shopaholic friends to do it for you... I'm happy to volunteer as I have to scour major stores etc for skin coloured underwear for older girls anyway this weekend (frankly I think it's impossible - I've already been through Target, Best & Less, Kmart & Big W). Up there with the Holy grail & perpetual motion machines. The only colours in size 2-14 seem to be pink, hot pink, more pink, pink with a bit of blue or green, maybe some yellow. Even Bonds only does white, black & navy or coloured stripes - arrggghhh.

Inevitably I'm going to have to go to a dancewear store which is always in the middle of a major shopping centre... By Sunday lunchtime.

So give me a list & a budget & I'm happy to oblige. Both Best & Less & Big W have good plain cotton stuff (useful for tie dye) at a very reasonable price. So give a call or send through a mail...

Your search reminds me of trying to find purple undies for Charlie. Apparently boys can only wear red, blue, green, grey and black. Possibly yellow or orange but that is really pushing it. Purple is a complete no no. Unfortunately purple is his favourite colour - for underpants.

Well purple undies are the in thing you know! I ended up in the boys dept to buy a plain black T-shirt. Luckily I got no arguments from the little miss in tow who would usually respond with "I'm not wearing boys clothes - they're boring". Translation = "they're not pink". Though when allowed to choose a top for herself I was very impressed with her choice of a red, white & navy combo due to the cute little flowers on it. Maybe there is a light at the end of the pink phase after all...
