"All babies are in the 90th percentile"

according to Coz.

Which makes my boy perfectly average.

JR went for his 8 week check yesterday and scored 90% or more on all the tests. Yes, I've produced an over achiever. Who would have thought! :)

He looked so cute in the little weighing chair. Damn I wish I had the camera. He's 6kg! Some of that milk must be staying down... He has a tendancy to coat one of us in milk at least once a day...

The nurse remembered us too.... or at least she remembered the tie-dye.

Except those that aren't - i know a few and boy do they confuse me. I embarrassed myself mightly by asking one of my work colleagues when his son was turning 2, he was already 2.5...

They other problem is that you hoik up the kids with the same heft you would use on your own - to be put off balance by how light they are...

He will overtake Gemma soon. She is only just 6kg, or she was just before Xmas. Gastro does that to a baby.

Glad to hear he is thriving.

wow, seriously Min? The Dinghy has just hit 10kg. but then he's also a fair bit longer I think, he's about 72cm I think... I look at Gemma and think, what a lovely delicate sweet girl, compared to my big (loverly) lumpkin ;) just goes to show the great variation in babies!

The Iza is in the 75th percentile. She was born into it and has stayed there, joining Gemma in the more petite club. There goes the 90th percentile theory. Immunisation time was distressing - more for me than her, what with enormous needle going halfway into leg. Still makes me cringe.....

I've just come back from 2 month immunisation. There was much screaming but a little panadol liquid and a feed/sleep and all is right with the world again.

It's horrible but the alternative of having babies die of a simple disease is far worse.

i hate to say it but the 12mth shots are the worst so far. it's 3 of them and they are old enough to scream really loudly and kind of underwstand whats happening. they are the only ones that have made me cry.

just a little something to look forward to :)

Oh man...I am so dreading the 12 month ones! Maybe Dad can take her to those ones, I'm such a wuss.

18months ain't so grand either - but the look of disbelief and betrayal on your 4-yr old's face when they realise that there is another needle to go is the worst (according to hubby - i wussed out having dealt with incompentant GP who LET GO of the needle half way through the 18months injections - with me pinning down the toddler - i could have kicked him - the toddler certainly tried)

We've just weighed in. Pers is 9.2kg and 74cms long. She's under the 90th percentile for her weight, but hanging in there with her length. She now has 4 upper teeth and 3 lowers and they work fine. Just scored a nip on my thumb which is bruising! Ouchie!

oh ouch Wenchy! I scored my first kiss-bite the other day, it was sweet and hurtie at the same time - sort of "I love you mum, but what happens when I do this?" :)

the Dinghy is now over 10kg but about the same height as Pers, give or take a cm because he was being too wiggly. he cut the 3rd and 4th upper toothiepegs yesterday, just barely on the 4th. no more lowers yet.
