You can actually buy thingys that hold the toilet closed. We had one in Alice Springs because Charlie had a bad habit of posting and flushing too. Should be able to get one at the local Bunnings, under $10.
I don't think I'd encourage it... I could be wrong, but I don't think it has anything to do with the concept of going to the toilet - unless Persi is aware of the need to do something and associating it with a toilet. at the moment, chances are it's a bit of an abstract concept to her...
it has everything to do with being able to open a lid and put things inside... The Dinghy spends an awful lot of time putting things in and taking things out of boxes and saucepans etc. the toilet is just a bigger and more amusing version ;)
Get something that she is allowed to post in - cardboard box with hole in the side works just fine. Then at least you know where to head first when things go missing...

nooo... it's a sign that all sorts of things are going to go down the dunny because she's just worked out it's an interesting/funny thing to do...

Well, she also threw her dummy in there, so I suppose it's not all bad ;) Believe me, afraid r us!

Yes. Posting. That's what it's called ;) Thanks for that, I think I'll definately have a look for one of those.
It was an odd circumstance...do I discourage the posting, or do I encourage the use of the toilet?

Ahhh...so in that case distraction is the key and I'll just go get one of those doovies Mindy mentioned and keep the door closed (when I remember).
Thanks Speedie!

Yeah, I kinda figured that one. She has a wipes container for that.
