Hoorah for tie dye

I'm feeling accomplished. I've finished my tie-dying for the sprongling. A rainbow of colours.

The photo doesn't quite show the colours to their best, the purple on top is really strong... You know me, if you are going to do a colour, don't do it by halves.

One the left, a pile of nappies, in the middle, muslin wraps and two flannelette ones and one the right, a pile of second hand clothes completely transformed.

It may not be to everyone's taste, but for the time being, I will have a fashion victim who can't run away.... Bwa-ha-ha

At least you won't lose your baby at mother's group. I bet everyone is envious of your brightly coloured bub!

hmmm I know I don't belong round these parts.. but I'm actually looking for info.. my sister/best friend/cousin will have a new born and an 18 month old any day now, and I was thinking of buying her a sling/body wrap baby carrier of some sort so she has enough hands for all she has to do.. anyone have any funky links or advice?

Hey Toots,
We discussed the very same thing here a little while ago (looks through archives...)
Aha! For Rattle!: Sling it to me, baby!

and also in the Sept archive is more about the sling and the quinny thing. but I don't know how to make a link to it like Finn.

*snigger*

sorry, I really can't get over the quinny thing ;)

heh heh...quinny...

quim is actually the rude word you're thinking of. i think and hope.

yep, that's another one... but I think quinny's rude as well. more obscure, but just as funny.

You know I think I've heard the old 'vajayjay' referred to as Quinny at some stage, somewhere...

harrumph, I tried posting a couple of days ago but haloscam ate it.

I haven't bothered trying to find a proper reference for quinny, but off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure that's what the nancy-boy cross-dressing dauphin called Lizzy's rude bits when he was trying to woo her in Elizabeth. I won't try and use that as hard evidence, because *I'd* be laughing at *myself*, let alone the rest of you...

so yes, quinny = vajayjay, as Wenchy most delicately put it ;)

Tie dye post script...

The boy looks fabulous modelling the clothes. The brilliantly coloured wraps over the top of them finish the outfits.

We have a Jasper flikr site under construction and I'll post a link once Tops has uploaded the photos.
