Hi everyone,
as no one has started to write anything yet I thought I would put a link up to the Sesame Site. It has all sorts of usful information on develoment of children and how to handle common problems such as tantrums, for those of us with older children.
The particular link I am putting in is for development of language skills from newborn to pre-school age but from there you can go to lots of other good stuff.

I am also puting up a new photo of Sophie because I took one yesterday so I may as well show everyone how she has grown.

sweet photie :)
I have no idea how to post on someone else's blog so I haven't!
aha!
Finn!
send me an invite! please? ;)
Hey Lou, sorry...I sent it to you but at hotmail for some dumbass reason. Got my wisdoms out yesterday so have been a bit sidetracked (not to mention bombed out) this week.
I'm giving everyone admin so if you want to put stuff in the sidebar you can. If you don't know how, let me know and I'll pop it in for you.
Tina, Sesame St.'s an awesome link. I have a few others that I'll put up when I get some time next week. And that's a sweet little pic...
ta Wenchy, I've just poted what I've been burnin' to post about all day :)
Sophie is gorgeous. Promise we will get there soon to meet her.
Finn - can I play too?
Does anyone remember / still have contact with Kate who was Brusi's g'friend about 6 or so years ago? Haven't seen her around SCA for a while, but haven't been there much myself either. Pretty sure we saw her the other day with a little girl, about 6 weeks old or so. Didn't talk to her because couldn't remember if her name actually was Kate.
hi Min, I was searching this morning for a way to send you an invite but I have a feeling it's something only Wenchy can do! and she's full of pain relief goodness and/or pain, depending on whether things are good or bad at the moment, I'd say...
btw does that mean you're coming up to Sydney soon? I tink it'd be cool to get a photo of Gemma, Dinghy and Pers together seeing as they were all born within a fortnight (or is it just outside a fortnight? bloody close)... maybe they can be the three wise monkeys ;)
as for the Kate person, I imagine Tina's would know more about Brusi people than I. it rings bells but I can't be sure...
so cute
Hi Mindy,
Brusi's ex-girlfriend, Mel, had a baby girl in June around the same time as Tina, to Wolf, one of Brusi's squires.
...and I think the babie's name is Aeryn
Big Brusi was the boyfriend. I'm pretty sure her SCA name was Kate. She used to work at Foreign Affairs. Maybe it wasn't her.
Brusi's wife's name is Katinka (or Tink in the SCA). Mel's SCA name is Amelot.
I don't have Mindy's email address to send her an invite, could someone send it to me? Ta...
On the language development thingy (a bit off the topic now)... best book that i have seen on the subject is BabyTalk by Dr someone or other (brain now fails me) who was a PhD in speech therapy. Most bloody sensible book i've read on kid development barring Robin Barker & Kaz Cooke - but with particular reference to hearing, sight, speech and play development. Unfortunately i gave my copy away about 18months ago - but keep a lookout for it if your interested in this type of stuff.
